When & Why I Joined Total Grace: Joined in 2005. After hearing the excellent blend of academics, spiritualty, and practical teachings, I knew this is where God had sent me for further ministry growth and development.

Best Thing About What I do in Ministry: Being a vessel used for healing spiritually & emotionally.

Favorite Hobbies: Watching re-runs of Law & Order, writing, spending time with my family & friends, traveling, dreaming about the possibilities through Christ.

Favorite Books: The Difference Maker, Good to Great, The Creative Encounter by Howard Thurman, The Heart of Black Preaching, The Storm: For your Good...for God's Glory, The Centering Moment, Jesus and the Disinherited.

Favorite Biblical Personality & Why:  One of my favorite biblical personalities is Queen Vashti. She stood up for what she believed in regardless of material possessions. Her actions spoke to a social gospel rather than one that seeks to glorify the notions of prosperity. Queen Vashti set a standard that would ensure that people viewed women as more than a show piece, but as individuals with purpose and a destiny. In my mind, she represents a church that stands up for the people regardless of the bottom line.

How I Get Through Tough Times: I replay moments in my history, search for the lesson, and assure myself that "this came to pass"
